Ed Direction, a part of MGT's Education Solutions Group, is a nationwide leader in providing comprehensive and targeted solutions to improve student learning outcomes. Everyone on our team is an educator first, with deep experience in classroom, school, and district leadership. We have long-standing partnerships with LEAs across Texas spanning more than 25 years and focus areas of all kinds. This includes serving as approved providers for a myriad of TEA grants as well as independent and extension projects. We support districts in aligning, implementing, and managing various initiatives simultaneously.

Ed Direction partners with districts and campuses to identify proven, high-leverage strategies to support instructional improvements, including leading diagnostic/appraisal processes, instructional coaching, leadership coaching, Professional Development, and strategic implementation support. Our areas of expertise include instructional planning, curriculum implementation, classroom routines and procedures, differentiation strategies, observation and feedback cycles, and data-driven practices.
In addition to our many other ongoing projects in Texas, we are a TEA Approved Provider for both the Strong Foundations Planning and Strong Foundations Implementation grants. We have a proven track record of success as a Strong Foundations Planning partner.
     • 100% of our partner districts met all grant milestones.
•.On the final participant survey administered by TEA, 100% of our partner districts strongly
agreed that Ed Direction is "responsive to my LEA's needs," is "easy to communicate with"
and is "knowledgeable about RBIS and the framework development process".
     • 100% of our partners said they would recommend us to other districts.
If your LEA will be participating in Strong Foundations for 2024-25, we hope you will reach out to us as a potential partner.

    Our Solutions

Literacy and Math

Our team of content experts is deeply familiar with TEKS, the redesigned STAAR, the Science of Teaching Reading, and evidence-based research informing the teaching of math.  We can help you clarify your vision, align your curriculum and instructional materials, and train and coach your leaders and teachers.

Instructional Frameworks

Effective classroom instruction is the most precious resource in education.  It starts with a clear, inspiring, and evidence-based vision for what great instruction looks like.  We can help your district establish a broad coalition of stakeholders to write a new district-wide Framework for math or literacy, and we can help you develop an implementation plan to bring that Framework to life.

Data-Driven Planning

Data drives everything we do at Ed Direction.  We can help you carefully analyze current data and set data-driven SMART goals for your initiatives.  We can also help you design new data collection strategies to precisely monitor strategies you are implementing.

Effective Schools Framework

At the core of effective schools is effective instruction. In alignment with the Targeted Improvement Plan, we support campuses in improving performance in the Essential Actions by focusing on campus leaders, teachers, coaches, culture, curriculum, and instruction.  We can help Title 1, Part A-served federally identified campus with comprehensive needs assessment, improvement planning, and strategic, customized implementation supports.

Our Evidence

“As a new grant coordinator, I was a bit intimidated by the Strong Foundations process. I could not have coordinated the work without the help of Ed Direction. Their team walked me through the process and answered all of my questions.”
